     309.  Emma Eda6 HUNT (Harvey5, Ralph4, Elijah3, Samuel2, Ralph1) was born 2 June 1866 in Miami County, Ohio, and married Aaron Ellis PEMBERTON 17 October 1884 in Miami County, Ohio. She died of myocardial insufficiency  27 November 1943 in West Milton, Miami County, Ohio at age 77, and was buried 30 November 1943 in Old Ludlow Cemetery, Laura, Miami County.

     Aaron Ellis PEMBERTON, commonly called Ellis, was born 17 September 1861 in Ohio and was the son of Isaiah and Dorcas (Coate) Pemberton. He died of coronary heart disease 28 December 1939 in Union Township, Miami County at age 78, and was buried 30 December 1939 in Old Ludlow Cemetery.

     Known children of Emma Eda6 HUNT and Aaron Ellis PEMBERTON were as follows:

               579       i.    Cecil Ray7 PEMBERTON was born 17 November 1885 in Laura, Miami County, Ohio, and died in Maryland in September 1967 at age 81. He married first Frances Jeanette PARTHESIUS 20 April 1907 in Bucyrus, Crawford County, Ohio. She was born in July 1883 in McConnellsville, Morgan County, Ohio, the daughter of John and Lyda (Kirk) Parthesius. Jeannette, as she was called, died 10 April 1910 in Union Township, Miami County at age 26. The couple had a daughter Lucille F., born in 1908; and a son Robert Harris, born 1 July 1909 and died 6 July 1961 in Maryland at age 52. Cecil married second Juva Ina JONES, daughter of Rollin K. and Armina Kathryn (Haworth) Jones, 20 March 1912 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Juva was born 20 March 1886 in Laura. She died in March 1976 in Montgomery County, Maryland at age 90. Cecil and Juva had a daughter Wilma M., born circa 1914. Cecil was a salesman.

               580      ii.    Tressie L. PEMBERTON was born 29 March 1892 in Miami County, Ohio, and married Fred Orville ELLEMAN 2 October 1909 in that county. She died 7 May 1916 in Miami County at age 24, and was buried in Old Ludlow Cemetery, Laura, Miami County. Fred, the son of John and Anna (Cress) Elleman, was born 7 April 1899 in Miami County. He died 21 November 1958 in Troy, Miami County at age 59, and was buried in Wheelock Cemetery in Troy. Fred married second Bessie Replogle who was born in 1897 and died in 1982 at age 85. She was buried in Wheelock Cemetery.

 

     310.  Laban L.6 HUNT (Harvey5, Ralph4, Elijah3, Samuel2, Ralph1) was born in January 1868 in Ohio. He died 26 April 1919 in Montgomery County, Ohio at age 51, and was buried in Old Ludlow Cemetery, Laura, Miami County, Ohio.

     On 30 May 1891 in Miami County Laban married first Mary B. COATE, the daughter of John J. and Eliza A. Coate, who was born in January 1871 in Iowa. She died 19 June 1906 in Staunton Township, Miami County at age 35, and was buried in Old Ludlow Cemetery, Laura, Miami County, Ohio.

     Laban married second 14 August 1910 in Miami County, Sarah Elizabeth DEETER, the daughter of Isaac and Jemima (Longenecker) Deeter, who was born 17 June 1873 in Newton Township, Miami County. She married first Davis Coate 12 April 1893 in Miami County. He was born in May 1867 and died 31 August 1906 in Pleasant Hill, Miami County at age 39. The couple had children Glenna May, born 23 November 1893; Ray, born in May 1897 and died before 1910; and Millard Duane, born 2 May 1899 and died 13 March 1989 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio at age 89. Sarah died in 1952 at age 79 and was buried as Elizabeth Coate with her husband Davis in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Laban and Sarah had no children.

     Known children of Laban L.6 HUNT and Mary B. COATE were as follows:

               581       i.    Hubbart John7 HUNT was born 17 April 1892 in Miami County, Ohio and died 16 October 1952 at age 60 in Del Norte County, California. His name seen variously as Hubbert and Hubbard. He married 24 December 1915 in Pontiac, Oakland County, Michigan Mary M. WESTFALL, the daughter of William E. and Anna (Sleppy) Westfall, who was born in September 1898 in Franklin Township, Darke County, Ohio. The couple had children Glenna, born 5 May 1916 in Michigan and died 3 July 1968 in Sacramento County, California at age 52, who married Alfred ROZIER; Eugene V., born 13 December 1919 in Preble County, Ohio and died 22 February 1993 at age 73 in Placer County, California; Basil J., born 27 March 1923 in Ohio and died 2 August 1966 in Sacramento County, California at age 43; Leroy Orval, born 5 February 1925 in Ohio and died 15 October 1978 at age 53 in Sacramento County, California; Kenneth; and Forrest Donald. In the 1930 federal census the family resided in Newman, Stanislau County, California where Hubbert was a meat cutter in a butcher shop.

               582      ii.    Orville K. HUNT was born 1 September 1898 in Union Township, Miami County, Ohio. He was in the household of Isaac N. and Ella M. Carter in Union Township, Miami County in the 1910 federal census enumerated as 'adopted' but likely not officially as his name was given as Orville Hunt there and later on his World War I draft registration. On that registration he was listed as residing in Bradford, Darke County, Ohio and Labin [sic] Hunt of Gettysburg was listed as his nearest relative. He cannot be located in censuses after 1910.

                           iii.    Leroy W. HUNT was born 3 February 1903 in Miami County, Ohio. In the 1910 federal census he was enumerated in the household his grandparents John and Eliza Coate in Staunton Township, Miami County. In 1920 he was with his brother Hubbart in Verona, Preble County. Around 1928 he moved to Stanislaur County, California, as did Hubbert, and it was in that year he married Mabel F. HALL, daughter of George  M. and Emma R. Hall, who was born circa 1910 in Washington.

 

     311.  Ollie S.6 HUNT (Harvey5, Ralph4, Elijah3, Samuel2, Ralph1) was born 23 April 1869 in Laura, Miami County, Ohio. She died of valvular heart disease 21 April 1909 in Troy, Miami County, Ohio at age 39, and was buried 23 April 1909 in Old Ludlow Cemetery, Laura, Miami County.

     Ollie married William W. FOSTER, the son of George F. and Elizabeth (Allison) Foster, 6 August 1890 in Miami County. He was born 10 August 1860 in Amanda, Fairfield County, Ohio. William married second Mary E. MARTIN, the daughter of Nathan and Emma (Rhodehamel) Martin, who was born 22 September 1866 in Piqua, Miami County and married first 2 July 1885 in that county Theodore S. Weldy. The couple had a son Fred E. Weldy, born in February 1887. William, a paper hanger, died of myocarditis 1 January 1947 in Piqua, Miami County at age 86, and was buried 3 January 1947 in Forest Hill Union Cemetery, Piqua. Mary died of a coronary embolism 25 February 1947 at age 80, and was buried 27 February 1947 in Forest Hill Union Cemetery.

     Known children of Ollie S.6 HUNT and William W. FOSTER, all born in Miami County, were as follows:

               583       i.    Stella7 FOSTER was born in November 1893, and married Charles Leroy BOTKIN 31 July 1909 in Miami County, Ohio. Charles was born 1 December 1883 in Miami County, the son of Lewis and Mary (Schill) Botkin, and died 21 November 1965 in Montgomery County, Ohio at age 81. The couple had children Margaret, born circa 1911; Lewis, born circa 1912; Catherine, born circa 1916; Kenneth, born circa 1917; and Paul, born circa 1919, all in Miami County.

               584      ii.    Freda M. FOSTER was born in August 1895.

               585      iii.    Clarence L. FOSTER was born in August 1897. He was a ward of Milford Thuma in Newton Township, Miami County in the 1910 federal census.

               586     iv.    Minnie FOSTER was born in November 1899.

 

     312.  Rosannah6 HUNT (Harvey5, Ralph4, Elijah3, Samuel2, Ralph1), known as Rosa, was born 2 February 1871. She died 1 October 1962 in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona at age 91, and was buried in Gettysburg Cemetery, Gettysburg, Darke County, Ohio.

     Rosa married 21 February 1891 in Darke County Clarence Delmont WRIGHT, the son of Robert and Mary Elizabeth (Penny) Wright, who was born 20 November 1872 in that county. His name is variously seen as Delly C., Dellie C. and Della C. On 2 February 1947 in Franklin Township, Darke County, Ohio Dellie died of at coronary occlusion at age 74. He was buried 4 February 1947 in Gettysburg Cemetery. Dellie, a livestock dealer, farmer and horse trainer, and family lived on the farm where Dellie was born on the Gettysburg-Pitsburg Road. Lumber from his father's saw mill was used in building the large home, barn and sheds on the farm. The farmhouse burned to the ground in 1923. A portion of the farm acreage was given to build the old Beech Church where Dellie was a Sunday school teacher.

          +   591      v.    Robert Delmont WRIGHT, born 3 June 1910; married Ruth Elizabeth ISNOGLE; married Kathryn Mary HARRISON; married Cherry [--?--].

               592     vi.    Mae Nople WRIGHT, also known as Nople, was born 20 February 1914, and married Loren Mills HUSSEY 18 May 1940. She died 25 April 2009 in Ohio at age 95. Loren, the son of Frank S. and Alice J. (Mills) Hussey, was born 24 May 1890 in Greenville, Darke County, Ohio, and died 1 August 1957 at age 67. Loren was married first to Kathryn M. Garland, born circa 1893 in Indiana, and their children were Inez K., Hugh Garland and Olive Louise.

          +   593    vii.    Naomi Eileen WRIGHT, born 18 August 1916; married Ralph W. HOCKER.

 

     316.  Lillian May6 HUNT (Harvey5, Ralph4, Elijah3, Samuel2, Ralph1), known as Lillie, was born 3 May 1882 in Miami County, Ohio. She died of bronchial pneumonia 14 May 1941 in Montgomery County, Ohio at age 59, and was buried 17 May 1941 in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Miami County.

     Lillie married first circa 1898 in Miami County Charles A. ENYEART, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Enyeart, who was born 25 October 1876 in Indiana. He died 8 June 1907 in Troy at age 30, and was buried in Riverside Cemetery.

     On 3 May 1911 in Miami County Lillie married second Rufus Roscoe CIRCLE. He was born 13 August 1876 in Center Township, Mercer County, Ohio, the son of David and Mtilda (Haneline) Circle. He died in 1954 at age 78, and was buried in Riverside Cemetery.

     Known children of Lillian May6 HUNT and Charles A. ENYEART were:

               597       i.    Vernon J.7 ENYEART was born 12 January 1899 in Miami County, Ohio. He died 6 February 1966 in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon at age 67, and was buried in Willamette National Cemetery, Portland. On 14 October 1920 in Miami County Vernon married Gertrude E. SCHIEK, the daughter of Jacob A. and Anna (Blackburn) Schiek, who was born 10 October 1901 in Miami County. She died 19 October 1991 at age 90 in Portland, and was buried in Willamette National Cemetery.

     Known children of Lillian May6 HUNT and Rufus R. CIRCLE, both born in Ohio, were as follows:

               598       i.    Virginia M.7 CIRCLE was born circa 1914.

     345.  Robert Edwin6 HUNT (Charles M.5, Ralph4, Elijah3, Samuel2, Ralph1) was born 14 February 1895 in Miami County, and died 30 November 1975 in San Diego County, California at age 80.

     On 7 May 1914 in Newport, Campbell County, Kentucky Robert married Helen Twylah DIEHL, the daughter of Charles Justus and Mary (Kettlehook) Diehl, who was born 15 December 1895 in Miami County. She died of multiple myeloma 28 January 1951 in Troy, Miami County at age 55, and was buried 31 January 1951 in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. At the time of her death she lived in Del Mar, San Diego County, California.

     Known children of Robert Edwin6 HUNT and Helen Twylah DIEHL were as follows:

               606       i.    Charles Justus7 HUNT was born 29 May 1915 in Troy, Miami County, Ohio, and died 17 November 1989 in Sedona, Coconino County, Arizona at age 74. He married Marjorie Virginia WOLFE.

               607      ii.    Robert Roy HUNT was born 17 June 1917 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio, and died 16 October 1993 in Ohio at age 76. Robert married Irene Esther SMALLEY. She was born 27 May 1919 and died 2 May 2004 at age 84. The couple resided in Covington, Miami County, Ohio.

               608      iii.    Lois Bernice HUNT was born 3 May 1918 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio, and died of acute pulmonary edema 27 August 1939 in Troy, Miami County, Ohio at age 21. Lois married Ruel Culton SWISHER, the son of Trace B. and Agnes D. Swisher, who was born 26 February 1913 in Ohio and died in Troy 21 September 1984 at age 71.

               609     iv.    Betty Jo HUNT was born 26 September 1919 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio, and died at age 79 on 27 January 1999 in Troy, Miami County, Ohio. She married [–?--] MORTON.

               610      v.    Virginia Imogene HUNT was born 28 July 1921 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio, and died 30 November 2000 in La Mesa, San Diego County, California at age 79. Virginia  married Frank Eugene MOORE who was born 1 September 1922 in San Diego County, California, and died there 22 December 2006 at age 84.

               611     vi.    Mary Elizabeth HUNT was born 10 July 1923 in Ohio and died 24 September 1982 in San Diego County, California at age 59. She married Joseph Perry WILKERSON who was born 17 May 1919 in Oklahoma and died in San Diego County 6 June 2008 at age 89.

               612    vii.    Patricia Ann HUNT was born 28 May 1933 in Troy, Miami County, Ohio. She died 13 April 1934 in Troy, and was buried in Riverside Cemetery there.

 

     370.  Florence Callie6 HUNT (Theodore Newel5, Thomas4, Elijah3, Samuel2, Ralph1), known as Callie, was born in November 1875 in Ohio. She died 10 January 1966 in Findlay, Hancock County, Ohio at age 90.  

     Callie married 2 September 1893 in Mercer County, Ohio Charles William CUSTER , the son of George and Sarah E. (Kough) Custer, who was born 24 October 1872 in York Township, Van Wert County, Ohio. He was also known as William.

     Known children of Florence Callie6 HUNT and Charles William CUSTER, all born in Mercer County, Ohio, were as follows:

               613       i.    Thomas Newell7 CUSTER was born 29 December 1895. He appeared on the census of 1930 in Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio with wife of seven years, Minnie R., age 40.

               614      ii.    Luther CUSTER was born 20 September 1896. He died in March 1976 in Ohio at age 79. His last known residence was Sidney, Shelby County, Ohio.

               615      iii.    Amanda E. CUSTER was born in May 1899.

 

     371.  Ora Earl6 HUNT (Richard Sylvester5, Thomas4, Elijah3, Samuel2, Ralph1) was born 29 September 1883 in Miami County, Ohio.  He died 28 December 1954 at age 71.

     Earl, as he was also known, married Naomi Catherine LAVEY 3 November 1904 in Darke County, Ohio. She was born 3 October 1885 in Michigan, the daughter of Michael and Martha (Rarick) LaVey. She died 22 January 1952 at age 66.

     Known children of Ora Earl6 Hunt and Naomi Catherine Lavey were as follows:

               616       i.    Mabel Marie7 HUNT was born 26 July 1905 in Piqua, Miami County, Ohio, and died 2 May 1997 in Grays Harbor County, Washington at age 91. Mabel married Cecil Oliver KENNEDY 26 June 1926 in La Porte County, Indiana. Cecil, the son of James E. and Mary M. (Wilder) Kennedy, was born 24 December 1900 in Newton County, Indiana, and died 12 May 1993 at age 92 in Grays Harbor.

               617      ii.    Gladys Elizabeth HUNT was born 3 February 1907 in Miami County, Ohio. She died 16 October 1998 in La Porte County, Indiana at age 91, and was buried in Pine Lake Cemetery, La Porte County. Gladys married 18 July 1925 in La Porte County Frank Bedwell CAINS, who was born 2 November 1904 in Canada, and died 6 October 1980 in La Porte County at age 75. They had a son Robert Frank, born 24 June 1926 and died 20 September 2000 at age 74 who married Nora HOWARD; and a son Eugene, born circa 1929, who died in January 1937 in Indiana.

               618      iii.    Ernest Ora HUNT was born 16 June 1908 in Piqua, Miami County, Ohio. He died 2 January 1974 in Connecticut at age 65.

               619     iv.    Thelma Mae HUNT was born 11 May 1913 in La Porte County, Indiana, and died 17 November 1975 in La Porte County, Indiana, at age 62.

               620      v.    Golda HUNT was born circa 1915 in La Porte County, Indiana.

 

     397.  Russell James6 HUNT (Marcellus5, Richard M.4, Elijah3, Samuel2, Ralph1) was born 25 April 1898 in Monroe Township, Darke County, Ohio, and died 21 September 1972 in Ohio at age 74. He was buried in Old Ludlow Cemetery, Laura, Miami County, Ohio.

     Circa 1916 in Ohio Russell married Inez G. BAKER who was born 16 January 1901 in Miami County, the daughter of Alpheus and Ida May (Poet) Baker. She died 22 June 1997 in Montgomery County, Ohio at age 96, and was buried in Old Ludlow Cemetery.

     Known children of Russell James6 HUNT and Inez G. BAKER were as follows:

               621       i.    Lowell E.7 HUNT was born 13 November 1917 in Darke County, Ohio. He died 2 September 1997 in Montgomery County, Ohio at age 79, and was buried in Old Ludlow Cemetery, Laura, Miami County, Ohio. Lowell married Mary K. ROLFE who was born 23 July 1920 in Ohio, and died in June 1994 in Montgomery County, Ohio at age 73. She was buried in Old Ludlow Cemetery.

               622      ii.    Wilmadeen HUNT married Harry Leo NETZLEY who was born 13 September 1919 and died 22 May 2006 in Laura, Miami County, Ohio at age 86. He was buried in Old Ludlow Cemetery, Laura.

               623      iii.    Laveta E. HUNT was born 30 May 1924 in Ohio. She died 7 November 1995 in Montgomery County, Ohio at age 71, and was buried in Old Ludlow Cemetery, Laura, Miami County, Ohio. Laveta  married Jack D. RIKE who was born 18 March 1921 and died 11 May 2009 at age 88. He was buried in Old Ludlow Cemetery.

               624     iv.    Beulah Irene HUNT was born 3 August 1925 in Laura, Miami County, Ohio, and died 10 January 2008 in that state at age 82. She was buried in Riverside Cemetery, West Milton, Miami County. Beulah married George Lewis ZELLER who was born 26 May 1921 and died 21 July 1999 in Ohio at age 78.

               625      v.    Wanda HUNT married first Bud J. SOWRY, son of Russ and Edith (Brown) Sowry, who was born circa 1927 and died in Miami County 28 June 1967. She then married Tom JOHNSON and resided in West Milton, Miami County.

               626     vi.    Luella M. HUNT was born 13 January 1932 and died in February 1979 at age 47. She was buried in Old Ludlow Cemetery, Laura, Miami County, Ohio. Luella never married.

 

     399.  Earl6 HUNT (Marcellus5, Richard M.4, Elijah3, Samuel2, Ralph1) was born 4 September 1903 in Monroe Township, Darke County, Ohio, and died 24 March 1984 in Montgomery County, Ohio at age 80.

     Earl married Martha Helen COATE 13 September 1923 in Miami County, Ohio. Martha, also called Helen, was born in 1905 in Ohio, the daughter of William Alvin 'Will' and Stella (Coate) Coate. She died at age 93 in 1998. Both Earl and Martha were buried in Mote Cemetery, Pitsburg, Darke County.

     Known children of Earl6 HUNT and Martha Helen COATE, both born in Laura, Miami County, Ohio, were as follows:

               628       i.    Juva Jean7 HUNT was born 15 April 1924. She died 4 March 2012 in Troy, Miami County, Ohio at age 87, and was buried in Old Ludlow Cemetery, Laura, Miami County. She married Eugene E. Baker, son of David and Kate (Cordier) Baker. They had a son Douglas and daughters Denise, who married Eric SPIRES, and Dee Ann, who married Martin JONES.

               630      iii.    Patricia Lou HUNT married first Von JONES and second John THOMPSON.

               631     iv.    Phyllis HUNT was born 31 December 1929 and died 22 December 2004 at age 74 in Missouri. She married Richard SHAURER, son of Daniel David and Margaret (VanKirk) Shaurer, who was born 14 October 1926 and died 7 November 2007 at age 81.

 

     428.  Bertha Geneva6 PENNY (Sylvester Henry5, Thomas W.4, John F.3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 6 October 1884 in Montgomery County, Ohio. She died 17 February 1955 in Lebanon, Warren County, Ohio at age 70, and was buried 20 February 1955 in Hillgrove Cemetery, Montgomery County.

     On 6 October 1907 in Montgomery County Bertha married Walter Arlando BELLMAN, the son of Joseph and Ellen (Miller) Bellman, who was born 20 January 1876 in Van Buren Township, Montgomery County. He died of liver cancer 20 June 1947 in Dayton, Montgomery County at age 71, and was buried 23 June 1947 in Hillgrove Cemetery.

     Known children of Bertha Geneva6 PENNY and Walter Arlando BELLMAN, all born in Montgomery County, Ohio, were as follows (out of birth order):

               632       i.    Clarence David7 BELLMAN was born 8 March 1908, and married Mae BROWN. He died of chronic nephritis 23 September 1946 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio at age 38, and was buried 26 September 1946 in Hillgrove Cemetery, Dayton. The couple had two known children.

               633      ii.    Ada Mae BELLMAN was born 2 August 1909, and died 20 June 1980 in Tampa, Hillsborough County, Florida at age 70. She was buried in Miami Valley Memory Garden, Green County, Ohio. Ada married Charles BAKER who was born 22 July 1912 in Ohio, and died 25 June 1977 in Tampa at age 65. The couple had one known child

               634      iii.    Arthur Leroy BELLMAN was born 22 November 1910. He died 27 March 1985 in Tampa, Hillsborough County, Florida at age 74. Arthur married twice, but his first wife's name is not known. He married second Clara A. LEHMAN, who was born 17 October 1915 in Montgomery County, Ohio, the daughter of Arthur Albert and Nellie (Good) Lehman. Arthur had eight known children.

               635     iv.    Henry Arlando BELLMAN was born 25 July 1912, and died 5 October 1978 in Troy, Miami County, Ohio. He was buried in Riverside Cemetery, West Milton, Miami County. Henry married three times, but the name of one wife is unknown. He married first Arlene LAMP who was born circa 1917 in Dayton, the daughter of Herman and Fay Lamp. Henry married second Anna Mae HIGGINS. Anna, the daughter of James Eugene and Ivy M. (Bayliss) Higgins, was born 29 January 1915 in Ohio. She died 24 December 1998 in Troy at age 83, and was buried in Riverside Cemetery. Anna was married previously to Wilbur Benson Alderman.

               636      v.    Roy Edward BELLMAN was born 26 January 1916, and died 23 February 2000 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio at age 84. He married first Ruby Rosella YOUNG, the daughter of Earl Alpha and Anna Mae (Bolander) Young, and they were divorced in July 1945. The couple had one child. Roy married second Christine L. [--?--] and they were divorced in November 1947. He married third 19 February 1949 Allene Cora BUTLER who was born 19 February 1926 in Roane County, Tennessee, the daughter of Fred Ernest and Cora Belle (Duff) Butler, and died 15 September 1988 in Dayton at age 62. The couple had one child. Roy married third Margaret [--?--].

               637     vi.    Martha Ellen BELLMAN was born 15 June 1917, and died 10 September 1982 in Tampa, Hillsborough County, Florida at age 65. Martha married four times.  In 1947, at the time of her father's death, she was Mrs. Martha Basham, wife of Daniel M. Basham who was born 17 May 1913 and died 27 February 1996 in Ohio at age 82. They divorced and in 1955, at the time of her mother's death, she was Mrs. Martha Logel of Dayton. In 1980, at the time of her sister Ada's death, she was Martha Kaufman, wife of Harold Kaufman who was born 31 May 1918 and died 15 May 2000 in Tampa at age 81. The name of Martha's fourth husband, who was likely the first she married, is not known.

               638    vii.    Margaret Marie BELLMAN was born 11 April 1921, and died 2 December 1992 in Hillsborough County, Florida, at age 71. Margaret married twice. In 1947, at the time of her father's death, she was Mrs. Margaret Holcomb of Dayton. In 1955, at the time of her mother's death, she was Mrs. Margaret Pennington, wife of Paul E. Pennington, born 3 February 1913 in Ohio, the son of Samuel W. and Gertrude I. Pennington. He died 6 August 1993 in Florida at age 80.

               639    viii.    Herman Everett BELLMAN was born 15 August 1924, and died 13 October 2004 in Ohio at age 80. On 18 November 1943 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio he married Mary Jane SCOTT who was born 5 March 1925 in Mt. Holly, Warren County, Ohio, the daughter of Israel Wright and Edna Irma (Lacy) Scott. She died 21 November 2005 in Ohio at age 80. The couple had five children.

               640     ix.    Elmer R. BELLMAN was born 25 September 1914. He died of tubercular adenitis 18 April 1915 in Jefferson Township, Montgomery County, Ohio, and was buried 20 April 1915 in Hillgrove Cemetery, Montgomery County.

               641      x.    Bessie Irene BELLMAN was born 7 January 1919. She died 13 February 1919 in Jefferson Township, Montgomery County, Ohio. The cause of death was suffocation. She accidentally rolled under her mother while she was asleep. Bessie was buried 15 February 1919 in Hillgrove Cemetery, Montgomery County.

 

     430.  Nettie Leora6 PENNY (Sylvester Henry5, Thomas W.4, John F.3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 25 August 1890 in Elwood, Gosper County, Nebraska. She died 1 November 1977 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio at age 87, and was buried 4 November 1977 in Riverside Cemetery, West Milton, Miami County, Ohio.

     Circa 1910 Nettie married George McClure FUESTON, the son of Harry I. and Maggie (DeWeese) Fueston who was born 14 September 1885 in Somerset, Lincoln County, Nebraska. He died 16 March 1964 in Middletown, Butler County, Ohio at age 78, and was buried 19 March 1964 in Riverside Cemetery. George was a veteran of the Philippine Insurrection and worked at Delco Products division of GMC.

     Known children of Nettie Leora6 PENNY and George McClure FUESTON were as follows:

               642       i.    Sylvester Henry7 FUESTON was born 12 July 1911 in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana, and died 22 January 1955 at age 43. He was buried in Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, Warren County, Ohio. Sylvester married Etta May [--?--] who was born 11 December 1921 and died 3 September 1990 at age 68. After Sylvester died she married second John W. 'Jack' Brill, born 17 November 1921 and died 25 June 1986 at age 64. Both Etta and Jack were buried in Lebanon Cemetery.

               643      ii.    George Melvin FUESTON was born 1 June 1914 in Indiana. He died 19 October 1984 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio at age 70. George resided in Lebanon, Warren County, Ohio and was divorced at the time of death.

               644      iii.    Treva Elizabeth FUESTON was born 11 February 1916 in Nashville, Brown County, Indiana, and died 26 July 1993 in Torrance, Los Angeles County, California at age 77. She was cremated and her ashes scattered five miles off the shore of Newport Beach, Orange County, California. Treva married first David Noah WADE 8 August 1931 in Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky. David was born 7 August 1909 in Beattyville, Lee County, Kentucky, and died 23 April 1991 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio at age 81. Treva and David had six children and divorced. She married second John Smithers LEMAY, the son of William and Nora Lemay, 28 May 1945 in Greenup, Greenup County, Kentucky. He was born 8 March 1919 in Shaker Mill, Mercer County, Kentucky, and died 16 August 1990 at age 71. Treva and John adopted two children.

               645     iv.    Henry Irvin FUESTON was born 15 May 1918 in Ninevah, Brown County, Indiana. He died 6 December 1998 in Middletown, Butler County, Ohio at age 8, and was buried in Deerfield Cemetery, South Lebanon, Warren County, Ohio. Henry married Willa Lee Mae [--?--] who was born 4 December 1921 and died 21 April 1992 at age 70. Will was buried in Deerfield Cemetery.

               646      v.    Jasper Harold FUESTON was born 9 January 1919 in West Milton, Miami County, Ohio, and died 2 July 2008 in Ohio at age 89. He began military service 12 October 1940 enlisting at Fort Thomas, Newport, Kentucky as a private in the infantry. His enlistment was for the Philippine Department.

               647     vi.    Blanche Margaret FUESTON, known as Margaret, was born 29 December 1922 in Casstown, Miami County, Ohio, and died 30 October 1970 in Middletown, Butler County, Ohio at age 47. She married Emerson Lafette PATE, Sr., who was born 17 December 1921 in Missouri, the son of Ernest Malcolm and Iola (Weaver) Pate. He died 21 April 1973 in Middletown at age 51. The couple had children George; Emerson Jr.; Stephen D.; Meredith C.; Monte S.; and Leroy Duke, born 22 February 1957 and died 18 April 1990 at age 33.

               648    vii.    Estella Mary FUESTON was born 31 March 1924 in Ohio, and died 8 September 1925 in Ohio at age 1.

               651      x.    Minnie Mae FUESTON was born 22 April 1930 in Kings Mills, Warren County, Ohio, and died 17 April 1996 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio at age 65. Minnie married Ollie James SPICER, the son of Willie and Rachel Spicer, who was born 24 February 1930 in Breathitt County, Kentucky, and died 24 August 1989 at age 50 in Lebanon, Warren County, Ohio. Both Minnie and Ollie were buried in Lebanon Cemetery.

 

     432.  Lyda6 PENNY (Sylvester Henry5, Thomas W.4, John F.3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 10 April 1896 in Newton Township, Miami County, Ohio. As recorded in county birth records her name was written as Lydima. Her death certificate gave Lyda, with no middle name. She died of uremia 14 July 1965 in Troy, Miami County at age 69, and was buried 17 July 1965 in Curtis Cemetery, Union Township, Miami County.

     Lyda married Curtis VANCE, the son of John Clarence and Nettie Florence (Fuller) Vance, 2 March 1918 in Greenville, Darke County, Ohio. Curtis was born 22 September 1896 in Piqua, Miami County. He died 6 August 1990 in Troy, Miami County at age 93, and was buried 9 August 1990 in Curtis Cemetery.

     Known children of Lyda6 PENNY and Curtis VANCE were as follows:

               652       i.    Carl Cecil7 VANCE was born 28 December 1918 in Nashville, Miami County, Ohio, and died 10 October 1997 in Troy, Miami County at age 78. He was buried 14 October 1997 in Polk Grove Cemetery, Vandalia, Montgomery County, Ohio. On 3 July 1942 in Dayton, Montgomery County Carl married Charlotte Emma LEHWALD, the daughter of Paul and Glenna Eleanor (Berg) Lehwald, who was born 3 February 1922 in Dayton, and died 3 December 2003 in Miami County at age 81. She was buried 8 December 2003 in Polk Grove Cemetery. The couple had three children, one of whom died at birth.

               653      ii.    Earl Henry 'Bud' VANCE married Evelyn SWADNER 18 October 1941 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio. Evelyn, the daughter of Roy Lesher and Clara May (Tingle) Swadner, was born 19 December 1921 in Dayton, and died 1 June 2006 in Florida at age 84. She was buried in Bushnell, Sumter County, Florida. Evelyn's brother Harold Swadner married her husband's sister Mary Vance (see #658 below). Bud and Evelyn had three children.

               654      iii.    John Clarence VANCE was born 25 September 1922 in Butler Township, Montgomery County, Ohio. He died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident 24 July 1947 in Dayton, Montgomery County at age 24, and was buried 27 July 1947 in Curtis Cemetery, Union Township, Miami County, Ohio.

               655     iv.    Pauline Lucille VANCE married Harold Edgar BAREFOOT.

               656      v.    Dorothy Marie VANCE married Herbert Franklin RHOADES26 April 1947 in Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana. Dusty, as he was called, was born 31 July 1919 in Liberty, Preble County, Ohio, the son of Frank and Elizabeth (Lang) Rhoades. He died 24 February 1983 in West Milton, Miami County, Ohio at age 63, and was buried 28 February 1983 in Arlington Cemetery, Clay Township, Montgomery County, Ohio. The couple had two children.

               657     vi.    Robert Eugene VANCE married 24 April 1954 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio Margaret Lucille MILLER, the daughter of Charles Haines and Marie (Good) Miller, who was born 29 December 1933 in Dayton, and died of breast cancer 5 December 2003 at age 68 in Miami County, Ohio. The couple had one child.

               658    vii.    Mary Elizabeth VANCE  married Harold Lockwood SWADNER 24 April 1981 in Urbana, Champaign County, Ohio.

He was born 30 May 1919 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio, the son of Roy Lesher and Clara May (Tingle) Swadner. His sister Evelyn married Mary's brother Earl (see #653 ) Harold died 7 May 2006 in Ohio at age 86, and was buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dayton. Harold married first 13 December 1941 in Dayton Mary Jane Myers. The couple had one son, Sam, born 11 September 1942 in Dayton, and died 9 November 1944 at age 2.  Mary Jane died 27 June 1971 and Harold married second Phyllis Clark 17 November 1973 in Dayton. They divorced 29 December 1975.

               659    viii.    Victor Norman VANCE married Georgia Alberta LOVETT.

               660     ix.    Donald Lee VANCE was born 1 September 1934 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio. He died 17 January 2005 in Troy, Miami County at age 70. Donald married first Mary Francis WALTERS 1 June 1957 in Tipp City, Miami County, Ohio, and they divorced after having four children. She married second Rex Heffelfinger and died circa 1996. Donald married second Evangeline BEATTY 19 September 1969. They had one child and divorced in March 1974.

               661      x.    Curtis VANCE, Jr., married Mildred M. KRYMAN 16 September 1960 in St. Petersburg, Pinellas County, Florida. She was born 11 July 1939 in Rochester, Monroe County, New York, the daughter of William Frederick and Mildred Marie (Castner) Kryman, and was married first to Carl Dean by whom she had a daughter. Curtis and Mildred divorced and she married second Carl Dwight Lacey 2 July 1990. She died 18 July 2003 at age 64 in Miami County, Ohio, and was buried 23 July 2003 in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City, Miami County. Curtis and Mildred had four children. He married second Maria Antonia CACCIATORE.

               662     xi.    Dean Richard VANCE married Shirley Alice PRICE.

               663    xii.    Patricia Irene VANCE married Dale NORTH 26 September 1959 in Tipp City, Miami County, Ohio. He was born 21 May 1934 in Lathrop, Athens County, Ohio, the son of Andrew Jackson and Mary Ellen (Hill) North, and died 13 March 2001 in Miami County at age 66. Dale was buried 16 March 2001 in Miami Memorial Park, Covington, Miami County. The couple had four children.

 

     433.  Orville D.6 PENNY (Sylvester Henry5, Thomas W.4, John F.3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 17 September 1898 in Laura, Miami County, Ohio. He died 8 October 1956 in Troy, Miami County, Ohio at age 58. The cause of death was a heart attack while on a furniture delivery. At the time of his death he was an employee of the Roark Furniture Store in Laura, where he had been employed for two years. He was buried 10 October 1956 in Old Ludlow Cemetery, Laura. There is some confusion over Orville's middle name.  Denman, Deman, Dennan and Demman all have been seen.

     Orville married Iva Marie SPROAT 18 August 1928 in West Milton, Miami County. Marie, as she was known, was born 15 October 1896 in Versailles, Darke County, Ohio, the daughter of Ellis and Rebecca Eleanor (Kinney) Sproat. She and Harry Shefbuch had a son Howard Eugene, born 9 July 1919. He was killed in an automobile accident 25 July 1941 in Troy at age 22. Although his death certificate gave his name as Gene Shefbuch, he was buried as Eugene Penny 29 July 1941 in Old Ludlow Cemetery. Marie died 22 February 1984 in Piqua, Miami County at age 87, and was buried 25 February 1984 in Old Ludlow Cemetery.

     Known children of Orville D.6 PENNY and Iva Marie SPROAT were as follows:

               664       i.    Richard Ellis7 PENNY married Janice Arlene KRESS 27 May 1949 in West Milton, Miami County, Ohio. Janice was born 28 October 1930 in Potsdam, Miami County, Ohio, the daughter of Burlen and Miowne (Ellerman) Kress. She died 20 January 2007 in West Milton at age 76, and was buried 24 January 2007 in Potsdam Cemetery, Union Township, Miami County. The couple had two children

               665      ii.    Doris Jean PENNY was born 10 January 1933 in Vandalia, Montgomery County, Ohio, and married Robert Eugene DITMER 7 July 1951 in Laura, Miami County, Ohio. She died 15 May 2011 at age 78 in Ohio. Her last known address was Piqua, Miami County. The couple had four children.

     434.  Pharis Delbert6 PENNY (Sylvester Henry5, Thomas W.4, John F.3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 20 September 1902 in Laura, Miami County, Ohio, and died 26 July 1961 in Montgomery County, Ohio at age 58. He was buried 29 July 1961 in Old Ludlow Cemetery, Laura, Miami County, Ohio.

     Circa 1936 Pharis married Margaret Wahnita SEASE, the daughter of William M. and Tracie Agnes (Stump) Sease, who was born 28 August 1913 in Darke County, Ohio. She died in 1967 at age 54, and was buried in Old Ludlow Cemetery. Margaret had a daughter out of wedlock, Mary Ann Sease,  who married Earl Fueston, son of Pharis's sister Nettie (see #649).

     Known children of Pharis Delbert6 Penny and Margaret Wahnita Sease all born in Ohio were as follows:

               667       i.    Ruth Elizabeth7 PENNY was born 1 November 1937, and married Jack ATKINS. She died 4 September 1964 in Montgomery County, Ohio at age 26.

               669      iii.    Delbert Leroy PENNY was born 10 March 1940, and died 11 March 1954 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio at age 14. He was buried in Old Ludlow Cemetery, Laura, Miami County, Ohio.

               670     iv.    Juanita June PENNY was known as June, and was not married at the time of her father's death in 1961. She may be the Jane Wendt of Jacksonville, Florida mentioned as a surviving sister in her brother Pharis's obituary in 1996.

               671      v.    Pharis Earl PENNY, called Sonny, was born 1 July 1947 and married Rita Renee LUX. He died 13 April 1996 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio at age 48. The couple had three children

     435.  Jesse Leo6 DITMER (Mary Etta5 Penny, Thomas W.4, John F.3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 25 January 1888 in Potsdam, Miami County, Ohio. He died of coronary heart disease 3 December 1939 in Troy, Miami County, Ohio at age 51, and was buried 6 December 1939 in Riverside Cemetery, Troy.

     On 5 October 19078 in Miami County Jesse married Emma Caroline SARING who was born in August 1887 in that county, the daughter of John P. and Mary Amanda (Pearson) Saring. She married second [--?--] Wiley by 1941.

     Known children of Jesse Leo6 DITMER and Emma Caroline SARING, all born in Miami County, Ohio, were as follows:

               673       i.    Lucille Mary7 DITMER was born 3 February 1911 and married Ralph H. SPHAR 10 May 1926 in Miami County, Ohio. He was born 1 May 1909 in Hardin County, Ohio, the son of John Fletcher and Grace (Gossard) Sphar, and died 26 June 1985 in Sidney, Shelby County, Ohio at age 76. Ralph was buried in Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco, Shelby County. Lucille and Ralph divorced before 1930 and she married second [–?--] EBERWEIN. Lucille died 26 November 1980 at age 69 in Arizona.

               674      ii.    Mildred Magdalene DITMER was born circa 1915 in Miami County, Ohio. She married Charles Clarence COX, the son of Alva Burton 'Bert' and Hazel Florence (Pine) Cox, 25 May 1931 in Miami County, Ohio. Charles was born 26 February 1913 in Miami County, and died 7 March 1982 at age 69 in Phoenix, Maricopa County, Arizona.

               675      iii.    Ruth Eileen DITMER was born 23 February 1919 in Miami County, Ohio. She died 3 February 2002 in Troy, Miami County, Ohio at age 82, and was buried in Riverside Cemetery in Troy. Ruth married Kenneth D. WHITMAN, the son of Irvin and Mary (Schultz) Whitman, who was born 14 October 1916 in Miami County and died 29 August 1989 at age 72. He was buried in Riverside Cemetery. She was said to have married first in 1936 James McBride.

               676     iv.    Noah Eugene DITMER was born 16 August 1923 in Miami County, Ohio, and died 1 July 1998 in Miami County, Ohio at age 74. He married Esther YOUNG in 1946. Noah was a corporal in the U.S. Army in WWII.

               677      v.    Gerald Joseph DITMER was born 10 February 1925 in Troy, Miami County, Ohio. He died 15 February 2002 in Miami County, Ohio, at age 77, and was buried in Spring Grove Cemetery, St. Paris, Champaign County, Ohio.

Joe, as he was called, married Rose Jean FRANK, the daughter of Floyd W. and Marie (Pine) Frank, 28 July 1951 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio. Rose was born 9 July 1929 in Adams Township, Champaign County, and died 14 October 2000 in Troy at age 71. She was buried in Spring Grove Cemetery. Joe was a corporal in the U.S. Army in WWII. The couple had no children.

 

     436.  Claude Ralph6 DITMER (Mary Etta5 Penny, Thomas W.4, John F.3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 6 November 1889 in Pitsburg, Darke County, Ohio. He died 4 November 1972 in Santa Clara County, California at age 82, and was buried in Verona Cemetery, Verona, Preble County, Ohio.

     On 25 May 1912 in Miami County, Ohio Claude married Opal L. GAULT, the daughter of John Pearley and Nora E. (Pansing) Gault, who was born 8 August 1891 in Ohio. She died 11 March 1957 in San Diego County, California at age 65, and was buried in Verona Cemetery.

               679      ii.    Lowell Argyle DITMER was born 14 September 1917. He died 3 October 1984 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio at age 67, and was buried in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City, Miami County, Ohio. Lowell married 21 February 1941 in Dayton Barbara BENNETT.

 

     437.  Delbert Cassius6 DITMER (Mary Etta5 Penny, Thomas W.4, John F.3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 7 July 1893 in Potsdam, Miami County, Ohio. He died of peritonitis following an appendectomy 24 May 1930 in Piqua, Miami County at age 36, and was buried 26 May 1930 in Potsdam Cemetery, Union Township, Miami County.

     On 26 April 1918 in Miami County Delbert married Annie A. BERCHTOLD who was born 13 September 1885 in Ohio, the daughter of Edward and Louisa (Koetitz) Berchtold. She died in December 1975 in Ohio at age 90. Annie was married first to James E. Morgan 13 April 1912 in Miami County, and they had two daughters: Dorothy M., born circa 1913, and Quella M., born circa 1915. James was the son of John E. and Emma (Smith) Morgan.

He was buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Newton Township, Miami County, Ohio. Olien was a salesman for International Harvester Company in Troy, Miami County.

     He married Marguerite DERR 12 December 1910 in Miami County. Marguerite was born 15 June 1893 in that county, the daughter of Preston and Nancy (Brumbaugh) Derr. She died 23 April 1964 in Troy at age 70, and was buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

     Known children of Olien6 Ditmer and Marguerite Derr, both born in Miami County, Ohio, were as follows:

     441.  Charles Herbert6 PENNEY (William C.5, Thomas W.4 Penny, John F.3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 13 November 1891 in Newton Township, Miami County, Ohio, and married Leota L. VORNHOLT 10 March 1914 in Miami County. He died 4 September 1965 in Troy, Miami County at age 73, and was buried in Riverside Cemetery, Troy. Charles was a mechanic and manager of a garage.

     Leota, the daughter of John and Cecilia (Teufel) Vornholt, was born 19 June 1893 in Troy and died at age 79 in 1972. She was buried in Riverside Cemetery.

     Known children of Charles Herbert6 PENNEY and Leota L. VORNHOLT, all born in Miami County, Ohio, were as follows:

               686       i.    Harley Kenneth7 PENNEY was born 20 October 1915 and died 31 January 2008 at age 95 in California.

               687      ii.    William Charles PENNEY was born 27 August 1917. He died 16 June 1919 in Troy, Miami County, Ohio at age 1. and was buried 19 June 1919 in Riverside Cemetery in Troy.

               688      iii.    Betty Jean PENNEY married James STEGER and in 1965 at the time of her father's death she resided in Rancho Cordova, Sacramento County, California.

 

     455.  Gertrude May6 CROFUTT (Olive5 Thompson, Emeline4 Penny, John F.3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 3 June 1892 in Iowa, and married Howard Earl BEVERS 10 December 1911 in Springfield, Bon Homme County, South Dakota. She died 27 January 1978 in Pico Rivera, Los Angeles County, California at age 85.

     Howard was born 6 April 1891 in Illinois. He was the son of John Marion and Mary Ella (Sullivan) Bevers who in 1900 were in Bird Township, Macoupin County, Illinois. Howard died 17 February 1958 in San Diego County, California at age 66.

     Known children of Gertrude May6 CROFUTT and Howard Earl BEVERS, all born in South Dakota, were as follows:

He was buried 29 December 1951 in Abbottsville Cemetery, Van Buren Township.

     On 2 July 1902 in Darke County Lewis married Dessie Leora ALREAD who was born 3 August 1880 in Ohio, the daughter of Isaac and Isabelle (Shields) Alread. She died of a cerebral hemorrhage 19 February 1950 in Greenville, Darke County at age 69, and was buried 22 February 1950 in Abbottsville Cemetery.

     Known children of Lewis Albert6 BUCKINGHAM and Dessie Leora ALREAD, all born in Darke County, Ohio, were as follows:

               697       i.    Thomas N.7 BUCKINGHAM was born 26 February 1903. Interestingly, his name was enumerated as Alvin T. in the 1910 census, but in the 1920 and 1930 censuses it was Thomas.  He died 25 December 1965 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio at age 62, and in the Ohio Death Index 1958-2007 his name was given as Thomas N. It is thought that his middle name was Nathaniel. Thomas married 25 April 1927 in Darke County, Ohio Eva Elizabeth MULLENIX, the daughter of John and Nancy Ellen (O'Ryan) Mullenix, who was born 24 September 1909 in Arcanum, Darke County. She died 1 January 1978 in Franklin County at age 68.

               698      ii.    Gladys E. BUCKINGHAM was born 16 May 1906. She died 25 February 1968 in Preble County, Ohio at age 61, and was buried in Green Mound Cemetery, New Madison, Darke County, Ohio.  Gladys married Raymond E. VAN ORMER who was born 31 January 1904 in Darke County, the son of William E. and Lucinda (Miller) Van Ormer. He died 17 January 1971 in that county at age 66, and was buried in Green Mound Cemetery.

               699      iii.    Daerill Emerson BUCKINGHAM was born 10 November 1908 and died 13 October 1988 at age 79. He was buried in Greenville Union Cemetery, Greenville, Darke County, Ohio. Daerill married Margaret DUVALL.

               700     iv.    Marlin E. BUCKINGHAM was born 19 April 1914 and died 23 November 1965 in Greenville, Darke County, Ohio at age 51. He was buried in Greenville Union Cemetery. Marlin married 11 November 1937 and divorced this wife in 1948. He married second 19 January 1960. Names of the wives are not known.

               701      v.    Marcella May BUCKINGHAM was born 10 July 1918 and died 24 September 2001 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio at age 83. She was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery, Van Buren Township, Darke County, Ohio. Marcella married 6 November 1937 Paul Baker FOURMAN, the son of William M. and Orpha May (Baker) Fourman, who was born 12 October 1918 in Darke County. He died 4 September 1990 in Ohio at age 71. Marcella and Paul divorced and he married second Mary E. North 24 July 1978. She was born 6 February 1928 and died 2 August 2002 at age 74. Paul and Mary were buried in Abbottsville Cemetery.

     476.  Clarissa Clara6 BUCKINGHAM (Louisa May5 Penny, Francis A.4, John F.3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 27 April 1888 in Darke County, Ohio. She died 25 May 1975 in Preble County, Ohio at age 87, and was buried in Monroe Cemetery, Eldorado, Preble County.

     Known as Clara, she married Martin Wilbur KITSON 25 September 1909 in Arcanum, Darke County. Martin, the son of Francis Marion and Eliza (Clay) Kitson, was born 12 December 1885 in Darke County. He died 9 September 1964 in Preble County at age 78, and was buried in Monroe Cemetery.

Lester married 2 December 1929 in Miami County, Ohio Vesta Zidiana SHELLENBERGER, the daughter of Charles Roy and Chloea (Kibby) Shellenberger, who was born 29 May 1912 in Miami County, and died 13 July 1990 at age 78. She was buried in Mound Hill Union Cemetery.

               704      ii.    Thelma Irene KITSON was born 7 May 1911 in Ohio, and married Charles Ralph CRANE 24 November 1937. He was born 30 May 1906 in Indiana, the son of Charles Wesley and Susanna (Lundy) Crane, and died 4 June 1972 in Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana at age 66. Thelma died 15 July 2005 in Ohio at age 94. Both Charles and Thelma were buried in Springlawn Cemetery, New Paris, Preble County, Ohio.

               705      iii.    Lola Ethel KITSON, known as Ethel, was born 21 April 1913 in Pleasant Hill, Miami County, Ohio. She died of a heart attack 23 June 1958 in Preble County, Ohio at age 45, and was buried in Monroe Cemetery, Eldorado, Preble County. Ethel married first Carl Russell PETRY 24 September 1936 in Monroe Township, Preble County. He was born 17 March 1914 in Eldorado, Preble County, the son of Earl and Elizabeth V. (Tabe) Petry, and died of a cerebral hemorrhage 26 April 1940 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio at age 26. Carl was buried 28 April 1940 in Monroe Cemetery. Ethel married second Earl E. WRIGHT.

               706     iv.    Charles Harold KITSON was born 25 June 1915 in Miami County, Ohio, and died 6 January 1999 in Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana at age 83. He was buried in Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton, Preble County, Ohio. On 16 January 1944 Charles married Ruby May KENNEDY who was born 15 May 1922 in Jefferson, Grant County, Oklahoma, the daughter of Edison J. and Ola M. (Olbert) Kennedy. She died 5 March 1998 in Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana at age 75, and was buried in Mound Hill Union Cemetery.

               707      v.    Lowell Emerson KITSON was born 20 March 1918 in Miami County, Ohio, and died 19 December 1991 in Arcanum, Darke County, Ohio at age 73. He was buried in Hollansburg Cemetery, Harrison Township, Darke County. Lowell married first Fairy Mae ARMACOST who was born 27 February 1919 in Wayne County, Indiana, the daughter of George H. and Rose Victoria (Clay) Armacost. She died in April 1983 in Ohio at age 64. Lowell married second 8 November 1986 Lucille Kathryn FAHNSTOCK who was born 11 September 1920, and died 18 March 1997 in Ohio at age 76. She was married previously to [–?--] Blinn, and was buried in Newcomers Cemetery, Franklin Township, Darke County as Lucille Blinn.

               708     vi.    Lois Marie KITSON was born and died in 1920 in Miami County, Ohio. She was buried in Newcomers Cemetery, Franklin Township, Darke County, Ohio.

               709    vii.    Donald Ray KITSON was born 13 December 1922 in Laura, Miami County, Ohio. He died 26 November 1982 in Colorado Springs, El Paso County, Colorado at age 59, and was buried in Memorial Gardens, Colorado Springs.

               710    viii.    Max E. KITSON was born 30 March 1925 in Ohio. He died 28 February 2003 in Florida at age 77. His last known residence was Gainesville, Alachua County, Florida.

 

     477.  Russell Cletus6 BUCKINGHAM (Louisa May5 Penny, Francis A.4, John F.3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 3 November 1890 in Painter Creek, Darke County, Ohio, and married Tressie Mae OVERCASH 8 March 1913 in Miami County, Ohio. He died of myocarditis and a coronary thrombosis 2 July 1946 in Newton Township, Miami County at age 55, and was buried 7 July 1946 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Newton Township.

     Tressie, the daughter of John P. and Sarah (Shafer) Overcash, was born 9 March 1890 in Miami County. She died of a cerebral hemorrhage 26 April 1952 in Covington, Miami County at age 62, and was buried 29 April 1952 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

He died 9 June 1985 in Florida at age 71, and was buried 12 June 1985 in Fountain Memorial Park, Homosassa Springs, Citrus County, Florida. Kenneth married Alice Elizabeth FAIR, the daughter of Ezra and Clara (Wintrow) Fair, 13 September 1933 in Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana.  She was also known as Betty.

               712      ii.    John Eldon BUCKINGHAM was born 17 January 1922 and died 4 April 1945 at age 23 in Germany in WWII. He married Lois Jean SAUL 7 September 1941 in Pleasant Hill, Miami County, Ohio.

 

     478.  Edward C.6 BUCKINGHAM (Louisa May5 Penny, Francis A.4, John F.3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 1 January 1893 in Darke County, Ohio. His middle name  according to just one source, the 1910 census, was Cloyd, but it was more likely Claude as per the WWII draft registration. He died 21 February 1980 at age 87 in Springfield, Clark County, Ohio, and was buried in Highland Cemetery, Union Township, Miami County, Ohio.

     Circa 1912 Edward married Armina HOKE who was born 22 February 1896 in Miami County. The daughter of George Washington and Mary Elizabeth (Hess) Hoke, Mina, as she was known, died of a coronary thrombosis 2 July 1946 in Logan County, Ohio at age 50, and was buried 5 July 1946 in Highland Cemetery.

               713       i.    Mary Elizabeth7 BUCKINGHAM was born 15 July 1913 in Ohio and died 2 July 1946 in Lewisburg, Preble County, Ohio at age 32. In 1932 she married Ray W. FLORY, the son of Samuel Irvin and Katy May (Lavender) Flory, who was born 5 September 1912 in Montgomery County, Ohio. He died 9 January 1969 at age 56 in Greenville, Darke County, Ohio. Mary and Ray had a son Donald Filmore, born 21 June 1936 in Montgomery County and died 2 June 2001 in Dayton, Montgomery County at age 64. Ray married second Ruby Bell.

               714      ii.    Ruth Irene BUCKINGHAM was born 5 May 1915 in Montgomery County, Ohio, and married Lester H. DEETER 29 November 1933 in Union, Montgomery County. Lester, the son of Henry Wolf and Sophia Magdalene (Schwierking) Deeter, was born 20 March 1914 in Bradford, Darke County, Ohio. He died 19 July 1965 in Brandt, Miami County, Ohio at age 51, and was buried in Highland Cemetery, Union Township, Miami County. Ruth died 18 June 1994 in Hillsboro, Washington County, Oregon at age 79.

     479.  Milton Melvin6 BUCKINGHAM (Louisa May5 Penny, Francis A.4, John F.3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 14 March 1895 in Painter Creek, Darke County, Ohio. He died of an apparent heart attack 2 November 1966 in Troy, Miami County, Ohio at age 71, and was buried in Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, Newberry Township, Miami County. Milton was a farmer and a dealer in ice and coal.

     On 22 September 1917 in Miami County Milton married Edna Marie NIESLEY, the daughter of John and Minnie (Bucholtz) Niesley, who was born 6 May 1895 in Miami County, and died 5 October 1976 in Troy, Miami County at age 81. She was buried in Miami Memorial Park.

               716       i.    Robert James7 BUCKINGHAM, known as Bobby James, was born 5 November 1918 and died 4 June 2011 at age 92 in Miami County, Ohio. He married Helen Marie SMITH in December 1939.

               717      ii.    Helen Irene BUCKINGHAM was born 6 May 1920 and married Raymond Elwood DOWNEY 9 July 1939 in Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky. She died 10 April 2010 in Port Charlotte, Charlotte County, Florida at age 89, and was buried in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City, Miami County, Ohio. Raymond was born 13 February 1919 in Piqua, Miami County and died 18 November 2001 in Fort Myers, Lee County, Florida at age 82. He was buried in Maple Hill Cemetery.

               718      iii.    Doris Jean BUCKINGHAM was born 7 October 1921. She died 9 May 2004 in Miami County, Ohio at age 82, and was buried in Miami Memorial Park, Newberry Township, Miami County. On 19 March 1941 in Newport, Campbell County, Kentucky Jean, as she was known, married Levi Albert WENRICK who was born 2 June 1920 in Miami County. He died 28 February 1988 in Lee County, Florida at age 67.

               719     iv.    Mildred Maxine BUCKINGHAM, known as Maxine, was born 27 February 1925. She married Lawrence Richard SLADE, the son of Alfred and Alda (Burkett) Slade, 21 July 1945 in Miami County, Ohio. He was born 26 July 1926 in Darke County, Ohio and died in Greenville, Darke County in May 1979 at age 52.  Maxine died 31 October 2003 in Greenville at age 78. Among their children were sons Roger Keith, born 30 May 1949 in Darke County and died there 24 January 2009 at age 59; and Jerry Lynn born 24 September 1950 in Darke County and died in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio 24 April 1997 at age 46.

               720      v.    Dorothea Jane BUCKINGHAM was born 16 February 1927. She died 22 July 2000 in Darke County, Ohio at age 73, and was buried in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Fort Loramie, Shelby County, Ohio. Dorothea married Glenn Lloyd SHAPPIE 6 August 1949 in Shelby County. Glenn, the son of Sebastian and Blanche (Leonard) Shappie, was born 7 June 1929 in Houston, Shelby County. He died 27 April 2000 in Montgomery County, Ohio at age 70, and was buried in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery. Among their children were sons Gary Joe, born 10 November 1954 in Miami County and died 11 October 1973 in Darke County at age 18; and Scott Lee, born 5 November 1961 in Miami County and died 20 September 2006 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio at age 44.

               721     vi.    Ruth Lee BUCKINGHAM was born 23 February 1929 and married Jack WELDY 14 February 1950 in Covington, Miami County, Ohio. She died 1 October 1967 in Darke County, Ohio at age 38, and was buried in Riverside Cemetery, West Milton, Miami County. Jack, the son of Ora and Fern Weldy, was born 21 July 1926 in Ludlow Falls, Miami County and died 10 January 1992 in Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County, Michigan at age 65. He was buried in Riverside Cemetery.

               722    vii.    William Joseph BUCKINGHAM, known as Bill Joe, was born 3 March 1931 and died 12 June 1993 in Montgomery County, Ohio at age 62. He was buried in Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, Brookville, Montgomery County. Bill married Geraldine L. ALLISON.

               723    viii.    Shirley Ann BUCKINGHAM married Robert PITSENBARGER who was born 6 August 1930 and died 23 July 1998 in Ohio at age 67.

               724     ix.    Donald Richard BUCKINGHAM was born 26 October 1934 and married Beverly BARNHART 15 November 1955 in Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington. He died 12 May 1997 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio at age 62, and was buried in Miami Memorial Park, Newberry Township, Miami County, Ohio.

 

     480.  Hattie V.6 BUCKINGHAM (Mary Belle5 Penny, Francis A.4, John F.3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 18 March 1885 in Franklin Township, Darke County, Ohio. She died of a heart seizure 27 March 1973 in Ohio at age 89, and was buried in Glen Cemetery, Port Jefferson, Shelby County, Ohio.

     Hattie married 15 August 1905 in Darke County Harley LAUGHMAN, the son of Henry and Elsie Jane (Minnich) Laughman, who was born 13 June 1886 in Darke Couny and died 15 March 1975 in Darke County at age 88. He was buried in Glen Cemetery.

     Known children of Hattie V.6 BUCKINGHAM and Harley LAUGHMAN were:

               725       i.    Roy O.7 LAUGHMAN was born 13 March 1906 in Darke County, Ohio. Circa 1929 he married Marie CAMPBELL who was born in 1910 and died 14 June 1995 in Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana at age 85. Roy died in March 1983 in Winchester, Randolph County, Indiana at age 73. Roy and Marie were buried in Glen Cemetery, Port Jefferson, Shelby County, Ohio.

                            ii.    Onda LAUGHMAN was born 16 July 1911 in Darke County, Ohio and died 4 October 1993 at age 82 in Greenville, Darke County. She married in 1929 Clinton HARTER who was born 27 April 1909 in Ohio and died 22 February 1996 in Darke County at age 86. The couple had a son Robert L. born 8 October 1931 and died 3 June 2004 at age 72. Onda, Clinton and Robert were buried in Green Mound Cemetery, New Madison, Darke County.

 

     481.  Flossie Forest6 BUCKINGHAM (Mary Belle5 Penny, Francis A.4, John F.3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 13 May 1887 in Franklin Township, Darke County, Ohio. She died 29 March 1965 in Kettering, Montgomery County, Ohio at age 77, and was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery, Van Buren Township, Darke County.

     Flossie married first 14 April 1906 in Darke County Homer WICK who was born 18 July 1887 in Miami County, the son of Lewis and Rebecca (Hallacher) Wick. The couple divorced some time before 1930 and she married second Daniel J. YOUNT who was born 12 June 1871 in Ohio, the son of Daniel and Elizabeth (Brumbaugh) Yount. He died of a coronary thrombosis 16 February 1944 in Greenville, Darke County at age 72, and was buried in Harris Creek Cemetery, Newberry Township, Miami County. Dan was married first to Frances Brewer 31 January 1891 in Darke County. She was born in 1871 and died in 1933 and was buried in Harris Creek Cemetery.

               726       i.    Carl Oscar7 WICK was born 19 November 1906 in Darke County, Ohio. He died in 1963 at age 57, and was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery, Van Buren Township, Darke County.

               727      ii.    Hazel L. WICK was born 6 October 1908 in Darke County, Ohio. She was a ward of John W. and Nople M. Hamon in the 1920 federal census in Franklin Township, Darke County, Ohio. Only Hazel and her sister Mary were not with their siblings and mother in their grandfather's household in the 1920 census. Hazel married circa 1925 Clifford R. SMITH who was born circa 1909 in Ohio. They had a daughter Mary E. Hazel married later [–?--] BRUMBAUGH and died  in July 1984 in Montgomery County, Ohio at age 75.

               728      iii.    Velma WICK was born 6 May 1910 in Darke County, Ohio and died of pulmonary tuberculosis 21 March 1938 in Marion Township, Franklin County, Ohio at age 27. She was buried 24 March 1938 in Abbottsville Cemetery, Van Buren Township, Darke County. Velma appeared as a lodger on the census of 1930 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio in the home of Vincent DiNucci. She never married and worked as a machine operator at a clothing tailor shop.

               729     iv.    Mary Rebecca WICK was born 20 January 1912 in Darke County, Ohio and died 1 January 1975 at age 62.In the 1920 federal census  Mary was a boarder in Franklin Township, Darke County in the household of Ervin J. Holacher. (Her father's mother's maiden name was Hallacher and he was likely some relation). Only Mary and her sister Hazel were not with their siblings and mother in their grandfather's household in the 1920 census. Mary married Elmer Jason  CISSNER 5 May 1935. He was born 5 February 1909 in Montgomery County, Ohio, the son of Edward and Clara Bell (Riffell) Cissner, and died 26 October 1991 at age 82.

               730      v.    Alice WICK was born circa 1915 in Ohio. In the 1930 federal census she was enumerated with brother Glen in Fairfield Township, Madison County, Ohio in the household of farmer John M. Brown and wife Anna. In the same census Alice and Glen were also enumerated in the Franklin County Ohio Children's Home. Alice married [--?--] HIMES and in 2008 resided in Newberg, Yamhill County, Oregon.

               731     vi.    Glen Austin WICK was born 16 August 1917 in Taylorsburg, Montgomery County, Ohio. He died 28 December 2008 in Kettering, Montgomery County at age 91, and was buried in Davids Cemetery, Kettering. In the 1930 federal census he was enumerated with sister Alice in Fairfield Township, Madison County, Ohio in the household of farmer John M. Brown and wife Anna. In the same census Glen and Alice were also enumerated in the Franklin County Ohio Childen's Home. Glen married Marjorie Maxine MCAFEE 30 September 1945. She was born 15 January 1922 in Mercer County, Ohio, the daughter of Charles G. and Ocie L. McAfee, and died 28 July 1989 in Ohio. Marjorie was buried in Davids Cemetery. Glen served in the Civil Conservation Corps in Kentucky, Utah, Wyoming, and Idaho from 1934 to 1936. He was employed by Dayton Power and Light Company when he enlisted in the Army Air Corps in February 1943, serving through October 1945. He served in Northern Africa, Italy, and France during WW II. Following the war he returned to Dayton Power and Light, retiring in 1982 as a shift engineer.

     482.  Jesse Vernon6 BUCKINGHAM (Mary Belle5 Penny, Francis A.4, John F.3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 5 June 1889 in Painter Creek, Darke County, Ohio. He died of multiple myeloma 7 June 1952 in Van Buren Township, Darke County at age 63, and was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery, Van Buren Township.

     On 5 September 1914 in Darke County Jesse married Clara Imo HAWES, the daughter of Emery and Emma (Rhoades) Hawes. She was born in November 1894 in Butler Township, Darke County and died 25 February 1966 in that county at age 71. Clara was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery.

     Known children of Jesse Vernon6 BUCKINGHAM and Clara Imo HAWES, all born in Darke County, Ohio, were as follows:

               733       i.    Clifford Theodore7 BUCKINGHAM was born 16 December 1915. He died of a crushed skull when his tractor rolled over on him 14 November 1962 in Darke County, Ohio at age 46. Clifford was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery, Van Buren Township, Darke County. He married Suzanne Anna HUBERT who married [–?--] Westerman after Clifford's death. Clifford and Suzanne had a son Carl Clifford, born 9 June 1951 in Greenville, Darke County and died 15 October 2010 in Saint Cloud, Osceola County, Florida at age 59; and a daughter Shirley Ann.

               734      ii.    Lowell Eugene BUCKINGHAM was born 20 March 1920 and died 16 January 1971 in Greenville, Darke County, Ohio at age 50.

               735      iii.    Duane BUCKINGHAM was born 2 April 1926. He died 2 November 1978 in Marion County, Florida at age 52, and was buried in Millwood Cemetery, Reddick, Marion County. Duane married Mary C. [--?--] who was born 21 October 1925 and died 5 August 1993 in Florida. She was buried in Millwood Cemetery.

 

     483.  Leroy O.6 PENNY (Albert5, Francis A.4, John F.3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1), known as Roy, was born 14 December 1889 in Franklin Township, Darke County, Ohio. He died of bronchial asthma 30 June 1931 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio at age 41, and was buried 3 July 1931 in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.

     On 23 April 1910 in Darke County Roy married first Forest COPPOCK, the daughter of John W. and Lillie (Furlong) Coppock, who was born 23 May 1890 in Ohio. The couple divorced and Roy married second Alice [–?--], born circa 1904 in Ohio, and Forest married  second 24 November 1933 in Darke County Lewis Phillip Hissong who was born 8 December 1874 and died in 1960 in Ohio at age 86. Forest died of a ruptured viscus 17 July 1948 in Darke County at age 58. She was buried 20 July 1948 in Mote Cemetery, Pitsburg, Darke County.

     Known children of Leroy O.6 PENNY and Forest COPPOCK were as follows:

               736       i.    Herman L.7 PENNY was born 12 August 1910 in Darke County, Ohio. He died 16 June 1986 in Montgomery County, Ohio at age 75, and was buried in Hillgrove Cemetery, Miamisburg, Montgomery County. A veteran of WWII, he was a retired employee of General Motors and resided in Dayton at the time of his death. He married Helen [--?--] who died in 1977 in Ohio.

               737      ii.    John Allen PENNY was born 4 April 1919 in Darke County, Ohio. He died 16 September 2009 in Ohio at age 90.

John's last known address was Greenville, Darke County.

     Samuel married 8 February 1912 in Franklin County, Ohio Mary E. BEY who was born circa 1892 in Germany. She was the daughter of Joseph and Mary Bey.

     485.  Elijah Rodgers6 PENNY (Albert5, Francis A.4, John F.3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 21 September 1897 in Franklin Township, Darke County, Ohio. He died 10 January 1961 in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio at age 63, and was buried 14 January 1961 in Union Cemetery, Franklin County.

     In the 1910 federal census his name was enumerated as Rodgers and in the 1920 federal census his name was given as Elias Rodgers. Per the WWI draft registration it was Eli Rodgers.

     Elijah married 30 June 1921 in Franklin County, Ohio Virgil Katherine BLACK. The daughter of David Albert and Emma Jane (Hardwick) Black, she was born 25 August 1893 in North Berne, Fairfield County, Ohio. Virgil died 7 November 1934 in Clinton Township, Franklin County at age 41. The cause of death was acute yellow atrophy of the liver and uremia. She was pregnant at the time. Virgil was buried 12 November 1934 in Union Cemetery.

     On 21 November 1901 in Miami County Harvey married Eva Margaret BARD, the daughter of David and Margaret (McBride) Bard, who was born 21 March 1880 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio. She died 22 April 1959 in Piqua, Miami County at age 79.

John was born 1 February 1895 in Austria and came to the U.S. In 1914. He died in February 1986 in Las Animas County at age 91.

               746      ii.    David Wallace LUCOUS, also called Wallace, was born 26 May 1904, and died 15 March 1964 in Ohio at age 59. On 29 October 1928 in Denver, Colorado he married Anna May MCPHERSON , the daughter of Thomas J. and Margaret (Luster) McPherson, who was born  25 January 1910 in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri.

               747      iii.    Olive Onetta LUCOUS was born 22 May 1911. She died 13 April 2004 in Mountain View, Howell County, Missouri at age 92. Olive married 18 September 1928 in Pueblo County, Colorado Thomas Vernon ANTRIM who was born 4 February 1898 in Porter County, Indiana, and died 23 November 1963 in St. Louis, Missouri at age 65. Olive married second [–?--] WEBB.

               748     iv.    Robert K. LUCOUS was born 17 June 1913 and died 2 February 1973 in Miami County, Ohio at age 59.

               749      v.    Martha Elizabeth LUCOUS was born 18 August 1915. She died 5 December 2002 in Greenville, Darke County, Ohio at age 87. Martha married Robert Gerald HAINES, the son of William Ralph and Odean C. (Carter) Haines, who was born 31 March 1912 and died 12 February 1957 in Piqua, Miami County, Ohio at age 44.

               750     vi.    Lester Harvey LUCOUS was born 12 April 1918. He died 7 December 2003 in Oklahoma at age 85.

 

     504.  Myrtle Edna6 PENNY (John Wesley5, Mercer B.4, Henry3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 26 December 1890 in Painter Creek, Darke County, Ohio, and married Sylvester Clyde CRUEA 8 January 1908 in Miami County, Ohio. Sylvester was born 7 November 1888 in Pleasant Hill, Miami County, the son of David and Jennie Cruea. The couple divorced between 1910 and 1918, and Sylvester married second Florence Von Carlezon, the daughter of George and Margaret Von Carlezon, 12 June 1918 in Miami County. Sylvester and Florence moved to Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana, and he died there in September 1977 at age 88.

     After the divorce Myrtle took back her maiden name Penny and in the 1920 federal census was enumerated in Piqua, Miami County in a household with two other young women who also worked in the textile industry. In the 1930 federal census she was a roomer in the household of B.F. Cain in Piqua and worked as a machine operator for a textile plant.

     Myrtle married second Robert Henry FLEGE some time after 1930. He was born 8 August 1891 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio, and was the son of Henry and Mary Flege. Robert died 13 May 1961 in Miami County at age 69. Myrtle died 20 June 1977 in Miami County at age 86.

               752       i.    Wilfred H.7 CRUEA was born 15 September 1908 in Miami County, Ohio. He died 7 January 1968 in Miami County at age 59. In the 1920 federal census he resided with his grandparents John and Agnes Penny in Staunton Township, Miami County. In the 1930 federal census he was enumerated as nephew in the household of Louis and Jennie Roath in Staunton Township. Some time after 1930 Wilfred married Hilda Margaret BARGA, the daughter of Abraham and Mary (Alexander) Barga, who was born 14 October 1911 in Fort Loramie, Shelby County, Ohio, and died of acute poliomyelitis 10 July 1953 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio at age 42. She was buried 13 July 1953 in Riverside Cemetery, Troy, Miami County.

     There were no known children of Myrtle Edna6 PENNY and Robert Henry FLEGE.

 

     505.  Oren Othello6 PENNY (John Wesley5, Mercer B.4, Henry3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 4 September 1892 in Painter Creek, Darke County, Ohio.

     He married 12 September 1917 Alma Phidelia SHELLABARGER, the daughter of Aaron and Elizabeth D. (Mohler) Shellabarger, who was born 8 June 1892 in Franklin Township, Darke County. Oren and Anna were in a two-car collision south of Bradford in Miami County on 10 December 1964. Anna died in the crash, and Oren died from his injuries 20 December 1964. Both were aged 72. The couple was buried in Newcomer Cemetery, Franklin Township, Darke County.

     Known children of Oren Othello6 PENNY and Alma Phidelia SHELLABARGER, all born in Miami County, Ohio, were as follows:

               753       i.    Robert Oren7 PENNY was born 19 February 1918 and died 25 September 2000 in that Miami County at age 82. He was buried in Harris Creek Cemetery, Newberry Township, Miami County. On 5 October 1940 in Miami County he married Glenna ROETH, the daughter of Leander E. and Mary A. Roeth. The couple had two children.

               754      ii.    Wilma Lucille PENNY was born 26 March 1920 and died 23 November 1965 in Troy, Miami County, Ohio at age 45. She was buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Newton Township, Miami County. Wilma married Dale Franklin DEETER 3 March 1940 in Circle Hill, Miami County. Dale was born 6 December 1915 in Pleasant Hill, Miami County, the son of Ellis Franklin and Onda Mae (Oda) Deeter, and died 17 August 1995 in Wayne Lakes, Darke County, Ohio at age 79. He was buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Wilma and Dale had two children.

               755      iii.    Bernard Leon PENNY, called Shorty, married Ida Pearl HICKMAN, the daughter of Robert S. and Beckie Hickman of Champaign County, Ohio. The couple had three children.

 

      508.  Mabel Elizabeth6 PENNY (Conodyne5, Mercer B.4, Henry3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 23 June 1901 in Miami County, Ohio. She died 10 February 1996 in Ohio at age 94.

     Mabel married first Roy Leo THOMPSON 12 July 1918 in Miami County. The son of Daniel and Sarah Malinda (Gorman) Thompson, he was born 28 December 1892 in Covington, Miami County and died 24 January 1972 in Ohio at age 79. On 28 July 1973 she married second George SCHRAM, the son of John and Emma (Wackler) Schram, who was born 4 January 1895 and died in November 1979 in Ohio at age 84. George married first Mabel Esther Licklider who was born 31 December 1894 in Miami County and died there 29 July 1972 at age 77.

     Known children of Mabel Elizabeth6 PENNY and Roy Leo THOMPSON, all born in Miami County, Ohio, were as follows:

He died 8 October 1972 in Palm Beach County, Florida at age 81. Jesse, also called Orville, was a salesman for a creamery in Miami County, Ohio in the 1920 and 1930 federal censuses.

     On 19 March 1910 in St. Joseph, Berrien County, Michigan Jesse married Virgie LONG, the daughter of Benjamin and Lydia (Welbaum) Long, who was born circa 1889 in Ohio. Virgie may be the Lavirgi Penny, born in 1889, who died 30 July 1962  in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio. Her residence at death was Troy, Miami County.

     Known children of Jesse Orville6 PENNY and Virgie LONG were:

               761       i.    Marlin L.7 PENNY was born in 1910 in Miami County, Ohio. He died in 1956 in Ohio at age 46, and was buried in Riverside Cemetery, West Milton, Miami County. Marlin married Elizabeth E. [--?--] who was born in 1912 and died in 1956 at age 44. She was buried in Riverside Cemetery.

 

     512.  Albert Lee6 PENNY (William E.5, Mercer B.4, Henry3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 14 March 1893 in Franklin Township, Darke County, Ohio and married Omah WALKER circa 1912 in Ohio. She was born 13 January 1894 in Ohio, the daughter of Samuel S. and Cora M. (Binkley) Walker, and died 28 September 1989 in Englewood, Montgomery County, Ohio at age 95. In the 1930 federal census Albert was enumerated as an automobile salesman. He supposedly founded Penny Oldsmobile in Dayton, Montgomery County.

     Known children of Albert Lee6 PENNY and Omah WALKER, all born in Ohio, were as follows:

               763      ii.    Madge PENNY was born circa 1916.

     513.  Joseph Mohler6 PENNY (William E.5, Mercer B.4, Henry3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 10 October 1898 in Greenville, Darke County, Ohio and died 26 February 1992 at age 93 in Palm Beach County, Florida. Joseph was an executive with Metropolitan Life Insurance.

     He married Voneda Leota WARNER 31 December 1915 in Pitsburg, Darke County. She was born 31 December 1899 in Darke County, the daughter of Rollie Laymon and Daisy (Baker) Warner, and died 27 January 2002 in Florida at age 102.

               767      iii.    Mary Jane PENNY was born 23 November 1924 in Tonawanda, Erie County, New York and died 14 October 1991 in Beaumont, Jefferson County, Texas at age 66. Mary married Darwin David MOORE 12 September 1947 in New York state. He was born 9 May 1924 in Olean, Cattaraugus County, New York, the son of Robert Emmett and Lephia Eliza (Graham) Moore, and died 11 August 2010 in Beaumont at age 86.

 

          517.  Irene Rosa6 PENNY (Simon W.5, Mercer B.4, Henry3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 1 March 1903 in Hartford City, Blackford County, Indiana and died in 1995 in Ohio at age 92. She was buried in Highland Cemetery, Covington, Miami County, Ohio.

     On 10 January 1923 in Miami County Irene married Emerson F. COLBERT, the son of Charles Warren and Mattie Della (Smith) Colbert, who was born 23 August 1903 in Covington, Miami County. He died 28 November 1998 in Troy, Miami County at age 95, and was buried in Highland Cemetery. Emerson was a lathe operator at Anchor Manufacturing Company, formerly Piqua Wood Shovel, for 16 years.

     523.  Webster L.6 PENNEY (Ira Charleston5, Benjamin Harrison4, Henry3 Penny, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 11 July 1905 in Montgomery County, Ohio. He died of lung cancer 22 May 1943 in Jefferson Township, Montgomery County at age 37. Webster

was a municipal policeman, according to the 1930 census, and a metal worker at the time of death.

     Circa 1916 Webster married Edna P. SHAULIS who was born 15 March 1903 in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Harry F. and Ida B. (Claycomb) Shaulis. She died of kidney cancer 9 November 1947 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio at age 44.

     Known children of Webster L.6 PENNEY and Edna P. SHAULIS, both born in Montgomery County, Ohio, were as follows:

               774       i.    Charlotte L.7 PENNEY.

               775      ii.    Webster PENNEY, Jr., was born 21 September 1928. He died 1 August 2009 in California at age 80. His last known address was Richmond, Contra Costa County, California.

 

     530.  Earl6 PENNY (David Henry5, Beverly W.4, Henry3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 3 April 1888 in Bradford, Darke County, Ohio, and married Josephine Delilah INGLE 15 February 1911 in Miami County, Ohio. He died 18 August 1969 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio at age 81, and was buried in Greenville Creek Cemetery, Newberry Township, Miami County.

     Records of the Miami County Children's Home show that six of Earl's and Josephine's children were placed in the Home on 16 December 1926, the reason being Earl and Josephine were jailed. Charges are not known. Francis, Donald and Ruth were released back to the custody of their parents in August 1928. Edward's records show no date of discharge, but he was back in his parent's residence in 1930. Betty was discharged in March 1928; to whom was not recorded, but likely her parents since she, too, was with them in 1930. Of the twins Herschel and Harold, there is no record for Herschel's admission to the Miami County Home. Harold was discharged in August 1927 and transferred to the Children's Home Society in Columbus. By 1930 he was residing with his parents.

     Earl's wife Josephine was born 11 May 1891 in Covington, Miami County, the daughter of Lewis and Celia Mary (Ewing) Ingle. She died of a pulmonary embolism 19 June 1944 in Troy, Miami County, Ohio at age 53, and was buried 22 June 1944 in Greenville Creek Cemetery.

     Known children of Earl6 PENNY and Josephine Delilah INGLE were as follows:

On 9 May 1935 in Greenville, Darke County, Ohio Earl married Mary Maxine DEARWESTER who was born 4 November 1918 in Bellefontaine, Logan, the daughter of Wilson Henry and Ida Mae 'Lucy' (Campbell) Dearwester. Her brother married Earl's sister Wilma (see #784 below) Mary died 13 November 1992 in Bellefontaine at age 74, and was buried in Greenville Creek Cemetery.

               779     iv.    Ruth Marcella PENNY was born 26 May 1918 in Miami County, Ohio and died 4 October 1998 in Middletown, Butler County, Ohio at age 80. She married [--?--] MCADAMS.

               780      v.    Donald William PENNY was born 6 September 1921 in Miami County, Ohio and died 4 May 1993 in Lima, Allen County, Ohio at age 72. He was buried in Fairview Cemetery, West Alexandria, Montgomery County, Ohio. Donald married Esther Ellen HARRINGTON 8 July 1943 in Miami County, but was divorced at the time of his death.

               781     vi.    Betty PENNY was born 7 January 1922 in Ohio and married [–?--] HOWELL.

               782    vii.    Herschel PENNY, a twin, was born 7 January 1926 in Ohio. He died before 1993.

               783    viii.    Harold M. PENNY, a twin, was born 7 January 1926 in Ohio. He died 25 May 2000 in Paulding County, Ohio at age 74. His surname at death was Barfell, so he was likely adopted out after 1930.

               784     ix.    Wilma Jewell PENNY was born 8 November 1927 in Ohio and died 28 December 2001 in Lima, Allen County, Ohio at age 74. She married James Benjamin DEARWESTER and her last known residence was Russells Point, Logan County, Ohio. James was born 14 September 1924 and died in Bellefontaine, Logan County 2 June 1989 at age 64. He was the son of Wilson and Ida Mae 'Lucy' (Campbell) Dearwester and his sister Mary married Wilma's brother Earl (see #778 above). Both James and Wilma were buried in Huntsville Cemetery, Huntsville, Logan County.

He died of a coronary occlusion 13 March 1948 in Miami County at age 65, and was buried 16 March 1948 in Harris Creek Cemetery. Estella married second [–?--] BIRD.

Tenia died 1 April 1999 in Auglaize County, Ohio at age 91, and was buried in Harris Creek Cemetery.

     Alma married 24 December 1917 in Miami County William Jacob HAGAN who was born 9 August 1894 in Bradford, the son of Thomas P. and Lucinda Jennie (Wise) Hagan. He died in 1957 in Ohio at age 53, and was buried in Harris Creek Cemetery.

     Known children of Alma Enoma6 PENNY and William Jacob HAGAN were as follows:

               793      iii.    Iva L. HAGAN was born 9 October 1922 in Bradford, Miami County, Ohio and died 12 December 2011 in Piqua, Miami County at age 89. She married 23 December 1944 in Lockington, Shelby County, Ohio Charles L. RUSSELL, the son of John Arthur and Lyda (Vety) Russell, who was born in 1924 and died 17 November 1996 at age 72. Both Iva and Charles were buried in Johnston Cemetery, Piqua.

 

     533.  Grace6 PENNY (David Henry5, Beverly W.4, Henry3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 7 November 1900 in Bradford, Miami County, Ohio and married Frederick COTY, Jr., 7 December 1917 in Merrill, Saginaw County, Michigan. He was born 17 March 1889 in Lakefield Township, Saginaw County, the son of Frederick, Sr., and Maria E. (McConnell) Coty. Grace married second [–?--] COLLIER and as Grace Collier died 10 December 1985 in Merrill, Saginaw County at age 85.

     Known children of Grace6 PENNY and Frederick COTY, Jr., all born in Saginaw County, Michigan, were as follows:

     534.  Ruth Esther6 PENNY (David Henry5, Beverly W.4, Henry3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 9 January 1903 in Bradford, Miami County, Ohio. She died 29 September 2002 in Xenia, Greene County, Ohio at age 99, and was buried in Riverside Cemetery, West Milton, Miami County.

     Circa 1917 Ruth married John Clinton SANDERS, the son of James Martin and Margaret (Luzene) Sanders, who was born 26 January 1893 in Darke County, Ohio. He died of cardiovascular disease with chronic interstitial nephritis 27 February 1944 in Union Township, Miami County at age 51, and was buried 1 March 1944 in Riverside Cemetery.

     Known children of Ruth Esther6 PENNY and John Clinton SANDERS were as follows:

               798       i.    Echo Corrine7 SANDERS was born 31 May 1919 in Darke County, Ohio and died 15 January 2001 in Bellefontaine, Logan County, Ohio at age 82. She married 2 August 1937 in Ohio Joseph HALL who was born 13 April 1914 in Miami County, Ohio and died 6 April 1993 at age 78 in Champaign County, Ohio. Both Echo and Joseph were buried in Spring Grove Cemetery, St. Paris, Champaign County.

               799      ii.    Ruby Juanita SANDERS was born 22 January 1920 in Miami County, Ohio and died 19 August 1978 in Springfield, Clark County, Ohio at age 58. She married Edward Henry CRESS, the son of Charles Wilbur and Edna (Dehaven) Cress, who was born 21 February 1914 in Miami County and died 7 April 2002 in Xenia, Greene County, Ohio at age 88.

               800      iii.    John Eugene SANDERS, known as Eugene, was born 6 October 1921 in Shelby County, Ohio. He died 1 August 1992 in Piqua, Miami County, Ohio at age 70.

               801     iv.    James D. SANDERS was born 11 September 1923 in Miami County, Ohio and died 23 September 1995 in Troy, Miami County at age 72.

               802      v.    Kenneth L. SANDERS was born 14 April 1926 in Miami County, Ohio and died at age 72 on 13 September 1998 at his home in Laura, Miami County. He was buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Newton Township, Miami County.

     535.  Ellison Lloyd6 PENNY (David Henry5, Beverly W.4, Henry3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 15 March 1905 in Bradford, Miami County, Ohio. He died 1 November 1990 in Greenville, Darke County, Ohio at age 85, and was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery, Van Buren Township, Darke County.

     On 29 August 1934 Ellison married Ethel L. MINNICH, the daughter of Clarence and Nora (Zechar) Minnich, who was born 18 September 1908 in Darke County. She died 5 February 1994 in Greenville at age 85, and was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery. According to her obituary, Ethel had a son Eugene R. Minnich, born 17 March 1926 in Ohio. In the 1930 federal census, Ethel was enumerated as daughter, single, in her parents household in Twin Township, Darke County, and Eugene was listed as grandson, age 4. He died 20 December 1978 in Greenville at age 52, and was buried in Abbottsville Cemetery.

     537.  Aaron Lewis6 PENNY (David Henry5, Beverly W.4, Henry3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 17 June 1910 in Bradford, Miami County, Ohio. He died 11 January 1978 in Piqua, Miami County, Ohio at age 67, and was buried in Riverside Cemetery, West Milton, Miami County.

     Aaron married Iva C. SHANER who was born 6 January 1918 in Darke County, Ohio, the daughter of Eli C. and Clara Louise (Pitman) Shaner. She died 6 May 2004 in Ohio at age 86. Her last known residence was Greenville, Darke County.

     Known children of Aaron Lewis6 PENNY and Iva C. SHANER were as follows:

               812     vi.    Eli Lee PENNY was born 15 March 1940 in Covington, Miami County, Ohio. He died 19 November 1946 in Piqua, Miami County at age 6 of a fractured skull sustained in an automobile accident. Eli was buried 21 November 1946 in West Milton, Miami County, likely in Riverside Cemetery.

 

          543.  Golda Mae6 PENNY (William E.5, Beverly W.4, Henry3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 1 July 1893 in Bradford, Miami County, Ohio.  She died of cardiovascular renal disease 23 May 1941 in Piqua, Miami County at age 47, and was buried 26 May 1941 in Forest Hill Union Cemetery, Piqua.    

     Golda was admitted to Miami County Children's Home 22 April 1903. Home records indicate her father was in Dayton Hospital and her mother was living in Piqua. Goldie was indentured to James G. Mills of Tippecanoe City, but he returned her saying she did not suit him. Then she was indentured to J. Harry Walker of east of Casstown. Goldie was discharged from the Home 29 April 1908. She was enumerated as a servant in the household of J. Harry Walker in the 1910 federal census in Lost Creek Township, Miami County.

     Golda married Leroy E. TRISSEL, known as Roy, 8 March 1914 in Miami County. He was born 25 September 1890 in Troy, Miami County, the son of William Trissell, and died 25 June 1966 in Mercer County, Ohio at age 75.

     Known children of Golda Mae6 PENNY and Leroy E. TRISSELL, all born in Miami County, Ohio, were as follows:

               814       i.    Mary7 TRISSEL was born circa 1915.

               815      ii.    Franklin TRISSEL was born 3 February 1916. He died 16 May 1995 in Texas at age 79. His last known residence was Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas.

               816      iii.    Lila Janette TRISSEL was born 30 August 1917 and died of diptheria 25 July 1924 in Piqua, Miami County, Ohio at age 6. She was buried 26 July 1924 in Forest Hill Union Cemetery, Piqua.

               817     iv.    Robert J. TRISSEL was born 30 October 1919. He died 27 March 1995 in St. Petersburg, Pinellas County, Florida at age 75.

               818      v.    Elsie TRISSEL.

               819     vi.    Paul B. TRISSEL was born 11 April 1924 and died 11 April 1924 in Piqua, Miami County, Ohio. He was buried 11 April 1924 in Forest Hill Union Cemetery, Piqua. The cause of death was hemorrhage of the umbilical cord.

               820    vii.    Alneida G. TRISSEL was born 24 September 1927 and married [--?--] REED. She died 7 March 1999 in Ohio at age 71.

 

     544.  Ralph Edgar6 PENNY (William E.5, Beverly W.4, Henry3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 9 July 1895 in Bradford, Miami County, Ohio. He died 23 July 1967 in Miami County at age 72, and was buried 26 July 1967 in Forest Hill Union Cemetery, Piqua, Miami County.

     Ralph was admitted to the Miami County Children's Home 22 April 1903 and was indentured first to Charles B. Coppock who lived near Pleasant Hill. Ralph was returned to the home and then indentured to Clinton Hendricks who resided southeast of Tipp City. Finally he was surrendered to his mother. The date of last discharge was 29 July 1909. He began military service 28 March 1918, enlisting in Troy, Miami County.

     On 17 July 1920 in Butler County, Ohio Ralph married Susan Mary MILLER who was born 24 January 1900 in Ohio, the daughter of Joseph E. and Elizabeth (Getz) Miller. She died 28 November 1975 in Piqua at age 75, was buried 1 December 1975 in Forest Hill Union Cemetery.

     Known child of Ralph Edgar6 PENNY and Susan Mary MILLER was:

               821       i.    Edgar W.7 PENNY was born 23 April 1922 in Piqua, Miami County, Ohio and married LaRee B. AUTL 31 August 1946 in Piqua. He died 15 January 1988 in that city at age 65, and was buried in Miami Memorial Park, Covington, Miami County.

 

     545.  Edith M.6 PENNY (William E.5, Beverly W.4, Henry3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 22 February 1897 in Bradford, Miami County, Ohio.

     She was admitted to the Miami County Children's Home 22 April 1903. Records say her father was in Dayton Hospital and her mother was living in Piqua, Miami County. Edith was discharged to her mother 29 July1909, at which time records say her father was deceased.

     On 10 August 1915 in Miami County Edith married first Willard EVANS who was born 7 April 1882 in Tippecanoe City, Miami County, the son of Jefferson and Mary Belle (Clark) Evans. He died of typhoid fever 14 January 1922 in Piqua, Miami County at age 39, and was buried 16 January 1922 in Maple Hill Cemetery, Tippecanoe City.

     Edith married second Fred Montgomery SAUER 30 September 1922 in Miami County. Fred, the son of Henry and Louisa Henrietta (Wise) Sauer, was born 27 February 1900 in Miami County and died 13 February 1967 at age 66 in Riverside County, California. He was buried in Elsinore Valley Cemetery, Elsinore, Riverside County.

     Known children of Edith M.6 PENNY and Willard EVANS, all born in Miami County, Ohio, were as follows:

               822       i.    Viola B.7 EVANS was born circa 1915.

               823      ii.    Florence E. EVANS was born circa 1916.

               824      iii.    Emma M. EVANS was born circa 1918. In the 1930 federal census there was an Emma M. Evans in Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio in the Feeble Minded Institute, born circa 1918. This could possibly be Emma; her uncle Harry Penny was institutionalized there.

     Known children of Edith M.6 PENNY and Fred Montgomery SAUER, both born in Ohio, were as follows:

     550.  William Elsworth6 BUCKINGHAM (Mary Etta5 Penny, Beverly W.4, Henry3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1), also called Elsworth, was born 22 January 1903 in Troy, Miami County, Ohio. He died of pulmonary tuberculosis 24 November 1939 in Piqua, Miami County at age 36, and was buried 27 November 1939 in Forest Hill Union Cemetery, Piqua. William was a sandblaster in a stove factory at the time of death.

     On 2 July 1927 in Miami County William married Consuella WESTFALL who was born 9 January 1911 in Troy, Miami County, the daughter of Charles and Mabel (Wise) Westfall. She died after 1939.

     Known child of William Elsworth6 BUCKINGHAM and Consuella WESTFALL was:

               827       i.    Vivian Lucille7 BUCKINGHAM was born 5 March 1928 in Miami County, Ohio. She died 2 March 2006 in Troy, Miami County at age 77. Vivian married Wesley WINTROW 30 June 1950 in Miami County. He was born 4 August 1927 in Ohio and died 28 December 2008 at age 81.

 

     551.  Lena6 BUCKINGHAM (Mary Etta5 Penny, Beverly W.4, Henry3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 22 March 1905 in Miami County, Ohio. She died 25 July 1980 in Piqua, Miami County at age 75.

     Circa 1922 in Ohio Lena married Marion L. LANDENBURG, the son of Samuel P. and Anna (Lemmon) Landenburg, who was born 22 November 1904 in Piqua, Miami County. Marion died 6 March 1964 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio at age 59, and was buried 10 March 1964 in Dayton National Cemetery.

     Known children of Lena6 BUCKINGHAM and Marion L. LANDENBRUG, both born in Ohio, were as follows:

               828       i.    Donald P.7 LANDENBURG was born 10 June 1924. He died 15 April 2001 in California at age 76, and was buried in Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Memorial Park, Thousand Oaks, Ventura County, California.

               829      ii.    Robert Linn LANDENBURG was born 30 July 1926 and died 27 August 1991 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio at age 65. He was buried 30 August 1991 in Dayton National Cemetery.

 

     552.  Edna Marie6 BUCKINGHAM (Mary Etta5 Penny, Beverly W.4, Henry3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 18 March 1907 in Miami County, Ohio. She died 25 February 1988 at age 80 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio, and was buried 29 February 1988 in Forest Hill Union Cemetery, Piqua, Miami County.

     Circa 1924 Edna married Everett Clyde HAWKINS, a woodworker, who was born 7 December 1903 in Putnam County, Indiana, the son of John Allen and Josephine Celestine (Gardner) Hawkins. The couple divorced and around 1955 Edna married Tommy HOPKINS. Everett died of acute cardiopulmonary failure 26 October 1982 in Piqua, Miami County, Ohio at age 78, and was buried 29 October 1982 in Forest Hill Union Cemetery.

     Known children of Edna Marie6 BUCKINGHAM and Everett Clyde HAWKINS were as follows:

               830       i.    Everett Clyde7 HAWKINS, Jr., was born 21 May 1925 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio. He died 8 May 2004 in Ohio at age 78, and was buried in Preble Memory Gardens, West Alexandria, Preble County, Ohio.

               831      ii.    Roger Lee HAWKINS was born 19 September 1927 in Piqua, Miami County, Ohio. He died 25 November 1996 in Dayton, Montgomery County, Ohio at age 69.

     556.  Eva Marie6 PENNY (Charles Porterfield5, Beverly W.4, Henry3, Christiana2 Hunt, Ralph1) was born 9 February 1904 in Bradford, Miami County, Ohio. She was enumerated as adopted in the 1910 federal census in Monroe Township, Preble County, Ohio in the household of Jacob S. and Catherine Petry. In the 1920 censusshe was still in the Petry household in Preble County, but was enumerated as step-daughter. In both censuses her name was given as Eva Penny.

     On 1 June 1921 in Greenville, Darke County, Ohio Eva married Samuel Guy DEVILBISS, the son of James William and Anna Dora (Harter) Devilbiss, who was born 6 June 1899 in Arcanum, Darke County. The couple divorced around 1925 and in 1949 at the time of her father's death Eva's surname was TRISSEL. She died as Eva Penny 18 January 1961 in Troy, Miami County at age 56, and was buried in Forest Hill Union Cemetery, Piqua, Miami County. Samuel married second circa 1925 Eunice Rachel Huffer. He died 31 January 1976 at age 77, and his last known residence was Hillsboro, Highland County, Ohio.

     Known child of Eva Marie6 PENNY and Samuel Guy DEVILBISS was:
